Roasted Plums with Rose-Honey Yoghurt

A simple summer dessert that's wonderfully easy to make.

Roasting the plums in the oven brings out their rich, sweet flavour, while the rosewater and delicate rose petals add an unmistakably summery touch.

It looks beautiful too, with very little effort.

Serves 4
Preparation time: 5–10 minutes, plus 15–20 minutes roasting time

  • Ingrediënts

    • 750g plums
    • 4 tbsp runny honey
    • A few sprigs of thyme
    • 500g full-fat Greek yoghurt
    • 1 tbsp rosewater
    • A small handful of flaked almonds
    • A few rose petals (optional)

  • Method

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Halve the plums and remove the stones. Arrange them in a roasting dish, drizzle over 2 tablespoons of the honey and 150ml water, then scatter over the thyme sprigs.

Roast for 15–20 minutes, until the plums are soft and juicy but still holding their shape.

    Leave them to cool.

Stir the remaining 2 tablespoons of honey and the rosewater into the yoghurt.

Serve the roasted plums with the rosewater yoghurt and scatter over the flaked almonds and, if you like, a few rose petals.
